Pre-conception folate

Folic acid 600 mcg plus seven B vitamins. Folate and B12 build new cells and DNA; together with B6 they keep homocysteine, a heart and nerve risk marker, under control.

WHO IT'S FOR

Women planning pregnancy and in early pregnancy, adults with raised homocysteine, and people with a poor diet, regular alcohol use or advanced age.

HOW TO TAKE

1 tablet daily with water.

GOOD TO KNOW

High folic acid can mask B12 deficiency (this formula includes B12). Patients on antiepileptics should check with their doctor.
